Redding Bagpipe Competition
The Redding Solo Bagpiping Competition draws talented pipers from across Northern California for a day of spirited performance and friendly rivalry. Held in Redding, the event features skilled soloists competing across Grade 1–4 and pibroch categories, judged on tone, technique, musicality, and interpretation. Spectators enjoy stirring marches, airs, and hornpipes while supporting local piping culture. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the pipes, the competition offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a showcase of traditional Scottish music at its finest.
